Why have just a bachelor party when you can have an entire bachelor weekend full of adventure, sports, music, great food and drinks, and quality time with your family and friends? We’ve got your back with some perfect Denver bachelor weekend itineraries.
Food and Night Life Weekend Itinerary
Denver has so much to offer in terms of food and nightlife. Get your group together and meet for dinner on Friday night at The Fire Restaurant and Lounge. Tell stories on the rooftop terrace while sitting around the fire pit and enjoying a farm-to-table meal. This restaurant is located in the ART Hotel, a perfect home base for your bachelor weekend.
Once everyone has a full belly, head over to Temple Denver. It’s a short walk, and the entire group can dance the night away in the three-story main room with cathedral ceilings, the underground, or Mirus Gallery. The calendar is packed with performers and the drinks flow all night under the amazing lighting and visuals and thundering sound system.
After a late night, let everyone sleep in on Saturday morning and then head to lunch at Leven Deli Co, which is right next to the ART Hotel. Everyone can order their favorite sandwich on freshly baked bread. Since this location also serves as a small grocery store, everyone can pick up any needed snacks or supplies. If you need an activity for the afternoon, the Denver Art Museum is just down the street; you can’t miss it with its unique architecture.
As evening falls, embark on our LoDo Craft Beer Tour. This 2.5-hour tour visits four of Denver’s most renowned craft breweries. Taste more than 10 beer styles and learn interesting bits of Denver history as you walk through downtown Denver.
The next morning, get ready for everyone to go their separate ways. Before you do, walk down to Civic Center Park. Grab breakfast or lunch along the way and then challenge the group to a game of ultimate Frisbee or flag football. The winner will have bragging rights for years to come, and everyone will remember this epic bachelor weekend.
Outdoor Adventure Camping Weekend Itinerary
If the groom is outdoorsy, consider an outdoor adventure weekend. Load up your gear and head for Golden Gate Canyon State Park, less than an hour away from downtown Denver. Tent and RV sites are available at Reverend’s Ridge Campground. You can rough it in a backcountry site with no amenities, or book a cabin or yurt for a more cushy experience. While at the park, explore more than 35 miles of trails, go mountain biking, rock climbing, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, or cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in the winter.
Sure, there are plenty of activities for the daytime, but your group is bound to create the most memories around the campfire in the evenings. Pack weenies to roast over the fire, supplies for s’mores, and alcohol. Bring plenty of wood for the fire and enjoy the time telling stories, giving advice, and laughing with the bros for one last weekend together before saying, “I do.”
Skiing Weekend Itinerary
Colorado is known for its skiing and if the groom is into this sport, he may enjoy an epic bachelor skiing weekend. There are several resorts within an hour and a half from Denver. These include Winter Park Resort, Echo Mountain, Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, and Copper Mountain Resort.
For this itinerary, we will focus on Echo Mountain because it is the closest resort to Denver, just 36 miles from downtown Denver, and you can pair this trip with gambling in Black Hawk. On Friday evening, meet up with friends and make the drive west. You can book a cabin or vacation rental or stay at a nearby hotel. One idea is to stay in Black Hawk, just eight miles from Echo Mountain. The Monarch Casino Resort Spa would be an excellent home base for your bachelor weekend.
Go out for dinner at the Monarch Chophouse at the hotel when you arrive and then enjoy an evening of gambling in Black Hawk. The next day, get up early to hit the slopes at Echo Mountain. Rental equipment is available, newbies can take classes, and there is terrain great for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Seven runs are available with the longest run spanning 0.7 miles.
When everyone is tuckered out from skiing, head back to Black Hawk and hit The Buffet. Everyone will be hungry and ready to storm the food stations from around the world. Enjoy seafood, Vietnamese Pho, prime rib, a fresh salad bar, and much more. When everyone is full, head out for another fun night in Black Hawk.
The next morning, consider a spa treatment, or just grab something quick from Java Etc. If you have time, head back to Echo Mountain for more skiing or head back to Denver when everyone is ready.
Thrill Seeking Weekend Itinerary
Colorado is an ideal place for thrill-seekers. If your groom appreciates an adrenaline rush, plan a thrill-seeking weekend packed with one adventure after the next. Consider booking a cabin, camping spot, or finding a hotel. One suggestion is to head to the historic Hotel Boulderado in Boulder on Friday night. Get the group together for dinner at Spruce Farm and Fish right in the hotel. Then, head to The Corner Bar for a saloon-style evening telling stories and giving the groom-to-be advice.
The next morning, take your adventure to the next level by driving just 12 miles north to Mile-Hi Skydiving. What better way to celebrate a wedding than jumping out of an airplane? It’s a great bonding experience and will create unforgettable memories.
After skydiving, head back to Boulder and spend some time on Pearl Street. There are many amazing restaurants and bars on this road, including Oak, The Kitchen American Bistro, SALT, and Frasca Food and Wine.
On Sunday morning, have one more adventure by going rock climbing in Boulder Canyon, just minutes from downtown Boulder. The canyon has routes perfect for beginners through experts. Take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy a thrilling adventure before heading home.
Gamer Weekend Itinerary
Is the groom to be a big gamer? If so, maybe he would want nothing more than to spend an entire weekend playing games with friends before his big day. Denver has many options for gaming. On Friday evening, meet up with friends at Punch Bowl Social. This venue spans two floors and has more than 24,000 square feet. There is food, drinks, bowling, ping pong, darts, karaoke, modern arcade games, and retro arcade games.
When everyone is feeling tired, head to the Halcyon Hotel. This hotel offers a central location for all of your weekend gaming adventures. The next morning, let everyone sleep in and then head to The Cherry Cricket for lunch. Make sure everyone has a good meal so they have a full stomach for the next epic gaming adventure at Immersive Gamebox. Bring your entire crew to be the controller. Immersive Gamebox offers several interactive group-based games that incorporate elements of augmented reality (AR), touch-sensitive surfaces, and projection mapping to create realities that respond to the actions of the players.
On Saturday night, grab some dinner and then head to The 1Up Arcade and Bar on Colfax. Challenge your friends to get on the leader board in Tron, Galaga, Pac-Man, Mortal Combat, pinball, and tons of other arcade classics. This location is 21+, so everyone can have a great time drinking, chatting, and playing games.
After one more night at the Halcyon Hotel, head to Dave and Buster’s on Sunday morning. They open at 11a.m., so you can all grab some food and enjoy one more round of games.
Golfing Weekend Itinerary
Golf is a popular sport enjoyed by many. Make a bachelor weekend of it and give your groom the chance to have a golf-filled weekend before having to schedule golf outings around married life.
On Friday night, have everyone meet at One Shot Back. This new establishment in Denver offers state-of-the-art golf simulators and high-end cocktails. Enjoy the lounge setting with friends and also challenge each other to darts, shuffleboard, billiards, and bag toss.
After your time at One Shot Back, consider staying at a nearby hotel or at Flora House, a classic Bed and Breakfast. Book a few rooms or rent out the entire place. Flora House is only two and a half miles from One Shot Back and two miles from City Park Golf Course. Once everyone is ready on Saturday morning, embark on a full day of golf at City Park Golf Course.
City Park Golf Course is one of the most popular in Denver. It’s unique because it sits in the middle of Denver, allowing golfers to enjoy amazing city and mountain views while battling water features and sand traps. This is an 18-hole regulation golf course. You can also take advantage of the driving range and clubhouse and grab lunch at the City Park Tavern.
On Saturday evening, head out to dinner and then go to The Local Drive. This is another golf and cocktail bar where you can order drinks and play one of more than 400 courses on the golf simulator. If some of your party has had enough golf, additional bar games are available.
By Sunday, some may need to head their separate ways, but if anyone is up for even more golf, take a short drive to one of the other courses in Denver. Choices include:
- Kennedy Golf Course
- Green Valley Ranch Golf Club
- Fox Hollow Golf Course
- The Homestead Golf Course
- Raccoon Creek Golf Course
- Heather Gardens Golf Club
- Willis Case Golf Course
- Wellshire Golf Course
- Foothills Golf Course
