Should I tip my tour guide at the end of the tour?

Our tour guides work hard to ensure that you have a great time on the tour, and if you've had a great time, tips are greatly appreciated!

How old do I have to be to join the tour?

You must be 21 years old with a VALID photo ID.

What is a VALID photo ID?

Colorado Liquor Laws state that any person consuming alcoholic beverages must possess a government issued form of identification including name, photo, and date of birth, and cannot be expired. A list of acceptable IDs can be found here. IF YOUR ID HAS EXPIRED, WE CANNOT SERVE YOU ALCOHOL, NO MATTER WHAT AGE YOU APPEAR TO BE.

How much does it cost?

$55 per person.

What is included in the tour?

  • beer samples at each brewery and a pint at the end of the tour
  • Denver Microbrew Tour souvenir sample glass
  • a guided 1.5 mile stroll through the LODO historic district
  • visits to several microbreweries in downtown Denver
  • interesting beer trivia
  • scandalous Denver history tidbits and more!

How long does it take?

About 2 hours 30 minutes.

Should I bring anything with me?

It is a good idea to bring along a water bottle to use to cleanse the palate between beer tastings, and oyster crackers or pretzels are good to munch on, especially towards the end of the tour. Check the day’s forecast in case sunscreen or an umbrella might be helpful.

What should I wear?

We will be walking about 1.5 miles, so be sure to wear shoes that you are comfortable walking in. Check the day’s forecast in case a layered look might be prudent.

Can I bring my kid(s) with me?

We love kids, but many of our brewery / bar / restaurant partners do not allow anyone under the age of 21 in. However, we are able to make exceptions if you fit the following circumstances:
  • Your child is a baby or young toddler (max 2 years old, generally closer to 18 months or younger).
  • Your child is able to stay in a stroller or baby carrier for the duration of the tour.
  • You commit to taking full responsibility for your child in a way that does not affect the other guests' experiences.
  • You only plan to bring 1 child per group.

I want to make reservations for dinner after the tour. What time should I make them for?

Generally, the tour finishes about 2.5 hours after the start time, but many people choose to spend some time hanging out a little bit longer and socializing. For this reason, we recommend that you don't make dinner reservations earlier than 3-3.5 hours after the start time, so that you don't feel too rushed.

I want to go to a Rockies game after the tour. Will I be able to make it?

Yes! It takes about 15-20 minutes walking to get to Coors Field from the last tour stop. You will have plenty of time to make it to see first pitch.

Is the tour handicap accessible?

All of the stops on the tour are handicap accessible via wheelchair ramps. Most of our walking will be at a steady pace along the sidewalks of downtown Denver. At one point, we may take the FREE MallRide along 16th Street Mall. The shuttle is handicap accessible. More information about the Free MallRide can be found on the RTD website.

Will there be restrooms along the tour?

There are many restroom facilities along the tour.

What if the weather is bad?

Tours will go on, rain or shine. In the winter, if the weather is REALLY bad and it is necessary that the tour be cancelled, attempts will be made to contact you in advance, and your money will be refunded.
