FAQ

Do I need a reservation?

Yes, you do need a reservation. You can reserve a spot online or by phone at 303-578-9548.

How many bars does the tour visit?

The tour visits a total of 4 breweries and includes samples at each. A $1 pint of beer of your choosing is included at the end of the tour at one of the bars that we visited. See the stops we visit

Should I tip my tour guide at the end of the tour?

Yes, tips are not included in your ticket price and are greatly appreciated by everyone in the world.

How old do I have to be to join the tour?

Per Colorado law you must be 21 years old with a VALID photo ID to drink at public establishments. Some other states allow individuals under 21 years to drink if they are under the supervision of a legal guardian, but in Colorado the only setting where this is allowed is in a privately owned space. If someone in your group is younger than 21 years, you may contact us and inquire about a non-drinking tour ticket.

What is a VALID photo ID?

Colorado Liquor Laws state that any person consuming alcoholic beverages must possess a government issued form of identification including name, photo, and date of birth, and cannot be expired. A list of acceptable IDs can be found here.

IF YOUR ID HAS EXPIRED, WE CANNOT SERVE YOU ALCOHOL, NO MATTER WHAT AGE YOU APPEAR TO BE.

How much does it cost?

$40 + a small service fee for General Admission. Please note that a small service fee will be assessed by Xola for ticket purchases.

What is included in the tour?

  • beer samples at each brewery and a pint at the end of the tour
  • a guided 1.5 mile stroll through either the LODO historic district or the RINO Art District
  • a souvenir 5.75 oz mini-goblet taster glass
  • visits to 4 integral beer establishments in one of Denver’s top two neighborhoods
  • a behind the scenes tour in one of Denver’s brewery production facilities
  • interesting beer trivia
  • scandalous Denver history tidbits and more!

How long does it take?

2.5-3 hours

Should I bring anything with me?

It is a good idea to bring along a water bottle to use to cleanse the palate between beer tastings, and oyster crackers or pretzels are good to munch on, especially towards the end of the tour. Check the day’s forecast in case sunscreen or an umbrella might be helpful.

What should I wear?

We will be walking about 1.5 miles, so be sure to wear shoes that you are comfortable walking in. In Denver they say “if you don’t like the weather; stick around” Check the day’s forecast in case a layered look or rain gear might be prudent.

I want to make reservations for dinner after the tour. What time should I make them for?

Generally, the 12pm tour finishes at around 3:00pm and the 3:15pm tour ends around 6:00pm. While many people choose to spend some time hanging out a bit longer to socialize, if your group chooses to set dinner reservations, we feel that 7pm would be a good suggested time frame. We recommend that you don’t make dinner reservations earlier than 6:30pm.

I want to go to a Rockies game after the tour. Will I be able to make it?

Yes! It takes about 15-20 minutes walking to get to Coors Field from the last tour stop. You will have plenty of time to make it to see first pitch.

Is the tour handicap accessible?

Most of our tour stops are wheelchair accessible, however one of our stops is not.  We will happily bring beer to you at that 3rd stop. Most of our walking will be at a steady pace along the sidewalks of downtown Denver. At one point, we may take the FREE MallRide along 16th Street Mall. The shuttle is handicap accessible. More information about the Free MallRide can be found on the RTD website.

Will there be restrooms along the tour?

There are many restroom facilities along the tour.

What if the weather is bad?

Tours will go on, rain or shine. In the winter, if the weather is REALLY bad and it is necessary that the tour be cancelled, attempts will be made to contact you in advance, and your money will be refunded.

Can I buy tour memorabilia?

Yes! We have our tour T-shirts available on our Merch page
